Twisted Traditional Tales
Book week at Lawdale this year was full of celebrations. Our children enjoyed a wonderful week filled with reading fun.
Our wonderful week continued to be packed with even more exciting activities.
Door competition
Throughout the week our pupils had to guess all the clues on the doors to enter our book week competition. Our doors were all inspired by traditional tales.

Stop, drop and read
Everyone would have to stop and drop what they are doing, to pick up a book and read every time they heard the stop, drop and read bell ringing through the school.

Dress-up assembly
A fantastic day full of creativity and hard work. Well done to all our parents, pupils and staff on creating such fantastic costumes.

Lawdale had been taken over by all things books and it was a wonderful sight indeed!
Lawdale’s Twisted Traditional Tale

Throughout the week each class wrote a part of our traditional tale. This was then read out in our whole school assembly as one big traditonal twisted tale.

A huge well done to everyone for their creativity and amazing storytelling!
Well done to everyone for a fantastic week!
