Parents

We at Lawdale Junior School believe in being a part of the community. We believe that our children benefit most from their educational experience when we work in partnership with parents.

We want to ensure that our school is a welcoming place for all parents and carers. We have been working with parents for over 15 years at the Community House. The Community House is a standalone building next to the school, in Mansford Street. There is a range of learning opportunities and information available for our parents and carers.

The Community House is open as follows:

Monday                                              closed

Tuesday and Wednesday        9.00am – 4.00pm

Thursday                                           9.00am – 12.15pm

Friday                                                  9.00am – 10.45am

We offer parent ESOL classes, as well as weekly coffee mornings with speakers.

Hafsana Begum and Raani Chawla work together to form our parent support team.  They organise courses for parents, run coffee mornings, offer pupil transition and secondary transfer support, as well as individual parent and family support.  Throughout the year they also organise a number of family trips, which usually happen at weekends
