At the beginning of June two teams from 5BG and 5MB went to the semi final of the UBS STEAM competition at the UBS offices in Liverpool Street.
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths, which meant the children used their skills in these areas to build bridges from paper, chairs from balloons and present their designs.
Both teams did exceptionally well, working together to complete tasks and present to a room full of children from other schools and UBS staff. 5MB even managed to be runners up. Although this event happened at the beginning of June, we have just received the photos, so we thought we would include them in the newsletter, so you can see what a great time they had.
